Britain drops to 25th for quality of life

A recent report has indicated that Britain has now fallen to 25th in the global rankings in terms of quality of life, falling even further down the list than last year when it came in at number 20 in the rankings. Amongst the countries that have now overtaken Britain in the rankings for quality of life are Lithuania, Uruguay, and the Czech Republic. France took the number one spot in the polls for the fifth year in a row.

A number of factors are considered to determine the quality of life in the countries included in the tables, and this includes the level of crime, the cost of living, climate, and population, amongst other things. International Living Magazine has been publishing the Quality of Life Index now for thirty years, and according to its report those living in France are able to enjoy an excellent quality of life where they can enjoy their lives to the full whereas in Britain people are overworked.

The top five places on the index were taken by France, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, and New Zealand.
